Andy grew up in Richfield, Minnesota and Eagan, Minnesota. His first job was as a paperboy at age 11 where he learned to save money and which created a lifelong interest in managing personal finances. He is a veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Army Reserve for over 6 years. He has worked for some great Minnesota companies including General Mills, Park Nicollet, and Children’s Hospital.

Andy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an MIS Emphasis from the University of Minnesota where he graduated with High Distinction and was awarded the 1996 Information Systems Student of the Year from the Carlson School of Management. Andy has over 20 years of professional experience in technical and managerial roles and is a wiz with computers and spreadsheets. Andy is also an avid reader, and enjoys staying current on business, financial market and investment information.

A resident of Golden Valley, Andy has five children he is very proud of. Andy enjoys the great outdoors including activities like hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, and camping.
