Doug Mock, a Certified Financial Planner™ with more than 30 years of experience, enjoys providing support and guidance for families with members who are approaching or are already in retirement. Doug assists clients with their transition from the working and accumulation stage of life into retirement, or the “enjoying wealth” stage of life. Doug works to help them maintain or increase their current lifestyle in retirement by utilizing planning strategies that bring together client investments, IRAs and 401k plans, estate planning, tax planning, retirement income planning, Social Security and Medicare. Doug also works with employees of local Fortune 500 companies to maximize their retirement benefits by exploring options that include 401k planning, pension choices, stock options and stock awards, deferred compensation, and health care choices.

Because people continue to live longer lives, Doug sponsors the non-profit Retirement Resource Center, which provides free financial education and free financial advocacy for families in the metro area. The worry of outliving ones assets can be a real concern, so the center offers the community educational sessions on understanding Social Security and Medicare, estate planning, 401k, IRAs and other retirement account options, tax planning and maximizing retirement income strategies. As an advocate of financial issues, Doug has access to a vast network of experts in addition to his own extensive knowledge. He aims to be a resource for the many financial decisions his clients need to make.

A resident of Wayzata, Doug has three children – Miles is an occupational therapist, Patrick is a software engineer and Rachel is still working on a degree. Doug enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, fishing, hunting, downhill skiing, and biking.
